Dreamcast Fishing Games

The Short-lived SEGA Dreamcast (SDC) had four amazing fishing games released for it. So many current arcade-style fishing games were inspired by SEGA Bass Fishing. The Sounds, rock music, graphics, easy controls, and fast action gameplay made this a winner. It has been ported to so many consoles. It’s one of those games you can play and put down fast and feel satisfied. It attracted gamers that don’t even like fishing games. After the success of SEGA Bass Fishing, SEGA released its brother SEGA Marine Fishing shortly after. It had the same fast action but instead of catching bass, you were catching giant ocean fish. Later SEGA Bass Fishing 2 was released. It improved upon every aspect of the first game. It added a more realistic simulation style, a tournament mode, and the ability to drive your boat around. Lastly Reel Fishing: Wild was released at the tail end of the Dreamcast’s life span. It is one of the better Reel Fishing games in the series. The Photo-Realistic graphics were so crisp for this era. It was a difficult simulation game but so satisfying to play. I remember going through all of my baits and lures just to try to find out what a certain species of fish would bite on. It kept me occupied when I was young. If you happen to own a Dreamcast, all of the fishing games released are worth playing on it.
